Cars are not supposed to climb trees, but that's exactly what happened today. A truck accident in Philadelphia left one car up a tree, wedged between the truck and tree. It isn't clear from a news report whether anyone sustained injuries, but a photo of the accident suggests they were likely. The truck was carrying heavy concrete blocks and was no match for the car involved.
If the truck driver is found to be the cause of the accident, he might be held liable for injuries sustained by the other person involved. Many times injuries from car accidents result in loss of wages, hospital bills and pain and suffering. The injuries might mean a person has to go through an extensive recovery and sometimes costly rehabilitation.
The person who is found to be responsible for the cause of the accident could be held accountable for the expenses incurred by the other person. Sometimes insurance companies from those involved in the accident will try to get you to sign off on a settlement that gives you less compensation than you might deserve.
If someone is involved in a truck accident in Philadelphia, they would be wise to consult with an experienced personal injury attorney to make sure their rights are preserved. A personal injury attorney can help deal with insurance companies, conduct an independent investigation and preserve evidence, and work to get you the compensation you deserve and need to cover all of your expenses as a result of the accident.
